Shanghai Hangfu Accelerates Rollout of Electric Tow Tractors, Helping Airports Achieve Carbon Neutrality Goals

As the global aviation industry accelerates its push toward carbon neutrality, the electrification of ground support equipment has become a key focus. Shanghai Hangfu, a pioneer in electric GSE since 2010, has launched its core product – the electric tow tractor. Featuring fast-charging lithium battery technology (1.5 hours to 80% capacity) and a drawbar pull of up to 25kN, the tractor consumes 40% less energy than conventional diesel models. The product has already been deployed at multiple hub airports in China and at international customer aprons. Shanghai Hangfu stated that it will continue to expand its electric product line to provide more efficient and environmentally friendly solutions for green airport development.
